Like a breath of fresh air

Clay and Cheri Ford and John Piippo teamed up in Indianapolis on February 22, 2007 for an ABC sponsored Pastors/Spouses Day of Renewal. John spoke on "Personal Spiritual Renewal for Pastoral People" (how to maintain spiritual vitality and an intimate relationship with God). Clay's topics were "Can These Dry Bones Live?" (Bringing vision, spiritual revitalization and growth into spiritually anemic or declining churches) and "From Worms to Mountain Crushers" (finding the road to restoration and fruitfulness following crushing experiences in life and ministry). The response was very good, and we got to pray with a number of pastors and leaders. Cheri and Clay then went from Indianapolis on to Madison, Indiana where they led FBC, Madison, an ABC church of 250-300, in a Weekend of Renewal.

Comments from ABC of Indiana Pastor Tom Dyer: "The conference in Indy was like a breath of fresh air to me. It spoke to the heart of ministry...our relationship to God and His working in our life...and then...the outworking of His life in us into our ministries. I so appreciated the Biblical balance you bring and your focus on God in us, the Holy Spirit as the guide, director, and source of power for all ministry. The time together was very encouraging and life giving. I felt at home with this group. I wanted to thank you and encourage you in what you're doing."

Report from Pastor Lewis Wright, FBC of Madison: "We enjoyed having you with us last month. Both of the ladies we prayed for on Sunday night reported a remarkable difference in their health."
